MBR Solar Park – Phase I and Phase II
MBR Solar Park – Phase VI and new phases is a solar power plant project established with large-scale photovoltaic fields and transmission infrastructure, aiming to meet regional electricity demand. MBR Solar Park – Phase VI and new phases takes one of the world’s largest single-site solar energy projects, developed under Dubai’s 2050 clean energy vision, to the next level in scale. By using photovoltaic (PV) and concentrated solar power (CSP) technologies together, the project aims to provide continuous, low-carbon electricity generation during both day and night.

Phase VI includes high-capacity PV fields together with advanced CSP tower technology and long-duration thermal storage. In this way, electricity generation can continue even after sunset, significantly improving grid flexibility and security of supply. The new phases are structured to raise the park’s total installed capacity above 5,000 MW.

The project’s distinctive aspects:

Hybrid technology approach: PV + CSP + energy storage

24-hour generation capability: Long-duration thermal storage

Mega scale: One of the world’s largest solar energy clusters on a single site

Low-carbon target: Reducing the share of fossil fuels in Dubai’s energy mix

MBR Solar Park is not only a power generation facility; it is also positioned as a global reference for developing large-scale renewable energy under desert conditions. With the completion of Phase VI and the new phases, Dubai will further strengthen its place among world leaders in clean energy generation; the project will become one of the symbolic infrastructure investments of energy transition in the Middle East.
