Cross River Rail – Underground Rail Corridor is a next-generation metro and rail system project planned or under construction to increase urban public transportation capacity. Cross River Rail is an underground railway project planned in Brisbane to increase the capacity of the existing rail system, reduce traffic and congestion in the city center, and improve passenger transport. The project includes the construction of a 3.5 km twin-track tunnel, the establishment of 4 new stations in the city center, and the renewal of the rail network and connections. The goal is to strengthen both urban transportation and regional railway connections.
