There will be a total of 4 new stations within the project scope:
* Waitematā (Britomart) — conversion of the existing station into a “through-station”
* Maungawhau — redeveloped station connected to the Western Line
* Te Waihorotiu (center)
* Karanga-a-Hape (center)
Primary objectives of the project: To make the Auckland city center a “loop” with the rail network; to increase train capacity; to facilitate inner-city transportation; to provide shorter journey times.
